The Greenwich Police Department received a report of an alleged burglary shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 29 on Westcott Street.

Upon arrival at the home, police said that workers at the scene set off an alarm on accident.

While investigating the purported burglary, officers spotted Stratford resident William Rosa, 44, who had an outstanding PRAWN warrant out for his arrest, which was confirmed by the Greenwich Police Department dispatcher.

The arrest warrant was as a result of a Connecticut State Police investigation for an undisclosed offense.

Rosa was arrested and charged with failure to appear in court. After he was processed at the charge at Greenwich Police Headquarters, he was released on $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Nov. 14.
